Meridian, Miss. A local woman was honored Thursday for a half century of working with patients at Rush Hospital.
It was Maybelle Brolick Day in Meridian, as proclaimed by Mayor Percy Bland. She has worked there for 50 years.
Brolick started working back in 1963. She told us why she has enjoyed working at Rush for so long.
"I enjoy just working with the people that I work with," said Brolick. "They all have been good to me, and we just get along well. It's just been wonderful."
Rush vice-president of human resources and public relations, Donnie Smith, says Brolick has shown great dedication in coming to work for the last fifty years.
