The Temple Theatre played host to the performance "Meet Me in St. Louis" Friday night. "Meet Me in St. Louis" tells the story of a family as they anticipate the wonders of the world's fair in 1904. This particular show put on by the Meridian Performing Arts Center was a community theatre project with people from Stage Two Productions, the Meridian Little Theatre and lots of volunteers all taking part.
"Well one of the beauties of our organization is we require our members to all participate. What you find is you bring people from all around the community into one purposeful endeavor," said President of the Meridian Performing Arts Center Kris Gianakos.
If you missed Friday's performance, you can still catch "Meet Me in St. Louis" two times this weekened. The play runs Saturday night at 7 and Sunday afternoon at 2.
