Meridian Motorcycle Group Raising Money for Charities

Meridian, Miss. The Queen City Cruisers of Meridian are hosting a cookout and party as part of the group's second anniversary.

The cookout will take place at Q.V. Sykes Park Saturday from noon to 6 P.M. with the party starting at 9 P.M. at the Council of Organizations Building. The Queen City Cruisers will also raffle off a 2001 Dodge Dakota with 80-thousand miles on it. "We wanted to make a difference in our community and we got together and started this non-profit organization, a motorcycle club, and we raised money, and we are trying to help people in our local communities," said Russell Lee of the Queen City Cruisers.

Raffle tickets for the 2001 Dodge Dakota cost twenty dollars each, and the vehicle will be given away this Saturday. For more information, call (601) 938-1505 or (601) 604-9258.
