Clarke County's District 4 supervisor was honored by the community Monday.
Paul Mosley was recently elected president of the Mississippi Association of Supervisors. He's the first from Clarke County to hold that position. He served as first vice-president for the organization last year.
Mosley said he's thankful to serve Clarke County and have the support of his fellow board members. He said he hopes his position with the state association will benefit Clarke County and east Mississippi.
"In January, February and March we'll be lobbying at the Capitol for different things that our counties need," said Mosley. "And have close contact with our representatives, state senators, and that the biggest purpose. Trying to do things for our citizens back home."
Mosley was first elected county supervisor in 1991. He's currently serving his sixth term.
