Meridian, Miss. Local teenagers filled Meridian City Hall on Friday night to hear about ways they can make better decisions.
Empty seats were hard to come by as teenagers and young adults listened to Reverend Eddie Charles Spencer, who is a motivational speaker. Reverend Spencer spoke about his journey from a childhood of abuse and neglect to serving time in jail. He says bad decisions can have lasting consequences and encourages all young people to think carefully when making decisions.
"You will have to live with the decision that you make today, you will have to live with it tomorrow," Spencer points out. "And you are the one that determines what the outcome is going to be."
A number of community organizations sponsored the event.
