New Library for MSU Meridian

Funding is now in place for a new library on the campus of MSU Meridian.

The college's dean, Dr. Steven Brown, tells Newscenter 11 that the school actually received a $1.25 million grant about a year-and-a-half ago from the Phil Hardin Foundation. Brown says the library is being constructed in the western portion of the College Park campus. Officials have been working closely with the Starkville campus on this project.

"This gives us an opportunity to step out on our own and try and expand," Dr. Brown says. "And we're so grateful for the support of Phil Hardin and other folks who are helping us with things like this."

Currently, MSU Meridian students are using the library on the campus of Meridian Community College.
