New Store Opens in Bogue Chitto
Bogue Chitto has a brand new store to meet a variety of needs.
A crowd gathered Tuesday to cut a ribbon to celebrate the opening of Big Creek General Store.
Owner Clay Young says it's more than a convenience store.
"You'll be able to get anything from frozen vegetables, fresh vegetables, any sliced meats you want. Plate lunches. Breakfast every morning, homemade biscuits," said Young. "And then we'll have all the grocery items. We've got a bait shop. We're going to supply horse feed, cattle feed. Anything people want in the community, we're going to have."
The Big Creek General Store also has a laundry and Choctaw police precinct. It's located on Highway 491, just across from Bogue Chitto Elementary School.
