Police Release Composite Sketch of Suspect

Meridian police Tuesday released a composite sketch of a man wanted for attempted kidnapping.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. Oct. 6 in the 1500 block of 22nd Avenue Heights. A 14-year-old female was the intended victim.

Police say the suspect is a tall, thin white male in his mid 20s, with semi-curly brown hair, goatee and blue eyes.

The suspect may have a tattoo of a cross on his left arm. He was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans with a hole in one knee at the time of the incident.

The suspect's vehicle description is an older model black Ford truck with an American flag sticker and an eagle sticker on the back window. The truck is believed to be an XLT model.

Anyone with information about this suspect or the Oct. 6 incident is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Meridian police also said Tuesday that the department has determined that a reported attempted kidnapping from Sunday, Oct. 7, was not an attempted kidnapping, based on the circumstances and after re-interviewing the victim.
