Lauderdale County, Miss.
Final preparations are underway in Lauderdale County for the June 3 primary elections.
Nearly five hundred poll workers are wrapping up their training for this year's primary.
Poll workers have been learning new laws that are in effect this year. The voter ID is one of those laws.
Election Commission chairman, Jeff Tate, says it is important for everyone to have their picture ID with them when they come out to vote.
"If they just don't have one with them and they are pressed for time, they can vote affidavit. And by voting affidavit they will have one business week to return to Ms. Donna Jill's office, present that acceptable form of photo identification and their vote will count," said Tate.
Tate says that if you will not be in town on election day, you may vote absentee at the circuit clerk's office.
