Philadelphia, Miss. Philadelphia's superintendent of schools is apparently not on the job right now, days after police were called to his residence.
School officials would not say much about the status of Dr. Terry Larabee. But Philadelphia police have confirmed that officers were called to his home Aug. 31.
Larabee was questioned at that time but was not arrested or charged with anything.
The Philadelphia School Board apparently discussed his status in a pair of recent executive sessions, but won't comment on the matter. They will only say that other people are currently performing his duties.
"I can tell you that I and Christy Rowcliff, we were both appointed to jointly share in the responsibilities for an undetermined amount of time," said Lee Ann Fulton, curriculum coordinator.
Larabee has been Philadelphia superintendent since 2011.
He previously worked as an administrator in Meridian Public Schools, including being interim superintendent.
