Reconciliation Week July 7-12

Meridian, Miss. The annual Reconciliation Week takes place July 7-12 in Meridian.

Reconciliation Week was started by the Miller family whose husband and father, Charles Miller, was a victim of the 2003 Lockheed shooting.

The Millers wanted to promote healing from that tragic event.

Yellow and black bows will be displayed during the week at city and county offices.

Sunday, 7/7 – Reconciliation Service, 3:00 p.m.; 31st Baptist Church

Monday, 7/8 – Free Lemonade/Music, 9:00 am – noon; Dumont Plaza

Wednesday, 7/10 – Rev. Charlie J. Miller Memorial Luncheon, 11:45 am, Union Station

Thursday, 7/11 – Mission Mississippi Vision Luncheon, led by Neddie Winters, president; 11:30 am – 12:30 pm, Union Station

Friday, 7/12 – Memorial Ride by Oxford Night Owls Motorcycle Club, 1:00 p.m.
