Linda Gale Reed has pleaded not guilty to three counts of embezzlement.
Reed entered the plea Friday in Copiah County Circuit Court in Hazlehurst. Circuit Judge Lamar Pickard denied bail for Reed and set her trial for July 23.
The 65-year-old Reed, a Neshoba County native, was first reported missing in April 2012 by her daughter after Reed's car was found abandoned on a county road near Crystal Springs. Her status changed from missing to wanted for embezzlement in the summer.
She was arrested in Longview, Texas, in October, working as a bookkeeper using her own name and official identification.
Authorities say Reed embezzled $20,000 from her Mississippi employer, Moore's Fabrications. She had worked for the company since 1999. They say an accountant found the money missing from the petty cash fund.
