Students at Poplar Springs Elementary School have a new way to learn about music. It has a new piano lab.
Students can plug in a set of headphones and listen to themselves play the notes.
Fifth graders demonstrated some of the songs that they have learned.
"For fifth graders, I was really surprised that students would really enjoy songs like Old McDonald, Row Your Boat, and Mary Had a Little Lamb. But even 10-year-olds enjoy playing those tunes they've heard all their lives," said Lorrie Stringer, music instructor.
Stringer says the piano lab will help students be more prepared to move into other applied areas of music and other academic studies.
