Middle Schoolers at Clarkdale are getting set for a big performance this weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday students will present "Willy Wonka Jr.," at the Evangel Temple on Highway 145.
The project is a part of Clarkdale Middle School's Arts Grant, and all of the actors will be 5th through 8th graders, with the crew consisting of high schoolers at Clarkdale.
"we hope this gives the kids an opportunity to express themselves on the stage in a way that some things like sports don't offer," says Director and 8th grade teacher Beverly Bozeman.
"Theater gives them an opportunity to express their vocal talent, their acting talents, and their dancing abilities."
Tickets are five dollars and showtimes are 7 PM Saturday and 3 PM Sunday at the old Evangel Temple theater.
