The former manager of a bank in Meridian is scheduled for sentencing this week in a scheme in which she took out loans in other peoples' names and kept the money for herself.

Sharon Monroe was vice president and branch manager of the Commercial Bank in Meridian.

Prosecutors say the crime happened between June 2008 and May 2009. Court records say Monroe took out new loans to pay back earlier ones.

Authorities are seeking the forfeiture of about $237,000.

Monroe was charged in January. She pleaded guilty Feb. 3.

Sentencing is scheduled for Thursday in U.S. District Court in Jackson.
