Sonny Montgomery Patriot Award

A special award was given out on the 4th of July in Kemper County during festivities in Dekalb.

The Sonny Montgomery Patriot Award is given to one person each year by the Kemper County Chamber of Commerce.

This year's recipient was Harold Moore. Moore spent time speaking about the importance of getting involved with the VFW and American Legion.

The Patriot Award is based on service provided to the community.
