Meridian police say they have charged two suspects in an attempted holdup at 5 Points Food Mart Apr. 28.
17-year-old Jamie Elaire of Meridian is charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault in connection with the robbery/shooting at the convenience store Sunday.
The MPD says Elaire was captured Wednesday night by officers at a Meridian residence.
Officials say Elaire has previously been certified as an adult and is charged as an adult in this case.
Bond for Elaire has been set at $1,000,000 on each count.
Another suspect, Terry Ford, 20, was formally charged Wednesday.
Authorities say the two men entered the store with the intent to rob it, but the clerk drew his own weapon and fired. Ford was injured but captured later at a nearby apartment. He had to be hospitalized.
Ford faces the same charges but has an additional firearm count. Police say the weapon used in the robbery was stolen from a vehicle in Meridian in March.
Ford's bond was set at $1,000,000 for the armed robbery, $1,000,000 for the aggravated assault and $500,000 for the possession of a stolen firearm.
Police say no further arrests are expected at this time.
