Two vehicles collided in downtown Meridian Thursday afternoon and one briefly caught fire.
It happened about 3 p.m. at the intersection of 23rd Avenue and 9th Street.
A white Ford Excursion and gray BMW collided and the BMW's engine caught on fire.
The driver got out safely and a Meridian police officer put out most of the flames with a fire extinguisher. The Meridian Fire Department also responded.
There were no apparent injuries to the drivers.
