Meridian, Miss. The vice-president of the Mississippi Economic Council spoke at the weekly meeting of the Meridian Rotary Club about plan for the state's economy.
Scott Waller talked about Blueprint Mississippi, which is a private initiative that looks at key strategies to help move the state forward economically.
The initiative looks at economic competitiveness, educational advancement, resources and technology commercialization.
"It's very important that everybody, the community leaders, the business leaders, are all sharing a common vision," said Waller. "And it's important for all parts of the state, and especially east Mississippi and the Meridian area, to be involved in that process."
The process going forward for Blueprint Mississippi will be how to implement the goals and recommendations set forth by the program to help the state's economy grow .
