The East Mississippi Business Development Corporation will host a forum on the state's musical heritage Tuesday at the MSU Riley Center.
The forum will include Peavey Electronics CEO Hartley Peavey and Mississippi Music Hall of Fame member Marty Gamblin.
Organizers say it's a chance for people to better understand the contributions the Magnolia State has made to music.
"When Marty Gamblin talks about our heritage and talks about the artists that are from the Meridian area, I think our guests will be impressed with what we have offered this state and this nation," said Wade Jones, president of the EMBDC.
The event will include a tour of the Sparkle & Twang Exhibit, Marty Stuart's collection of music memorabilia.
The forum will be Tuesday at 5 p.m. at five at the MSU Riley Center. Tickets are $10.00 each.
