Fire At Old Meridian Headstart Building

Many questions are remaining about exactly what caused a devastating fire Friday Morning at a former headstart building.

Firefighters responded around 2:15 Friday morning to the Old East End Headstart Center on 11th Avenue. Upon arrival, they say the entire 400 foot long structure was engulfed in flames. The building had been vacant for a number of years. No one was hurt. An investigation continues into the cause.

    Mississippi Burning Pt.2. Eventually the (GOP) will burn down all the Negro Historical Educational sites in Meridian, thus eliminating any evidence of how you once did a great job educating your own. Jay Brewster you better get your shotgun and stand in the window the way Mr. Obie did at 1st Union. You're the only site that's left! Finally, if you want a people to be lost, erase the history of where they came from.
