SUV Flips on North Hills Street In Meridian

Emergency officials responded to a single car accident Saturday afternoon.

Officials say a Toyota 4-runner heading southbound on North Hills Street in Meridian ran off the road and flipped upside down in a ditch. It happened at roughly 1:15 p.m. Saturday.

The female driver was temporarily trapped, but emergency responders were able to get her out. She was the only person in the SUV.

Officials with the Meridian Police Department, Meridian Fire Department, and Metro Ambulance responded to the scene.

    If I had to guess,there was probably a cell phone involved.Maybe it was a wake up call.

    not surprising considered that these idiot drivers do whatever they want in Meridian because they don't fear the police department. MPD aren't to blame but they definitely don't work traffic like they could/should. Their "traffic" unit is a joke, they write a few tickets on the interstate in the mornings then you don't hear anything from them the rest of the day.
