A fire Saturday night in Lauderdale County caused close to one million dollars worth of damage.

Officials say the workshop of J&M Construction, located on Minnow Bucket Road near Dalewood, caught fire at roughly 10p.m. Saturday night. The fire started in the area of the workshop that stores RVs.

Officials say it was an accidental fire. A total of five fire departments responded to the scene. Firefighters from Lauderdale, Toomsuba, Russell, Northeast, and Samdale helped put out the fire.

No one was in the building and there are no reported injuries.

Thats really sad. If anyone wants to help out, you can get some really cheap decorations at They sell them in kits which makes it really easy. god bless.

For so many years, Uncle Larry Ward and his family, & the Prichetts have worked to make the community a better place during the holidays. For those who would like to help or find a way to help with Christmas decorations, feel free to contact me via email.

How about setting up at a specified place to bring Christmas light, decorations, etc. to help replace/ or cash to a bank to defray expenses of replacement?

The family also stored their treasured Christmas decorations in the workshop. Have you ever been by there to see the Christmas Lights? I have taken my family to see the lights for years. It has become a tradition for so many families to go see the lights. The Pritchet/Ward Family has given so much joy to this area for so many years with their LIGHTS. There must be something we can do to give back to them. Any Ideas???
