Meridian Police have arrested one person after a man was found dead early Saturday morning.
Police tell Newscenter 11 they have charged Nina Lyles with the murder of Carlos Hawkins. Investigators were called to a residence on Arthur Street around 5:30 Saturday morning where they say Hawkins was stabbed to death. After talking with witnesses, police say they took Lyles into custody and are charging her with manslaughter.
"They found the body of a subject who had been injured enough to cause his death," Lt. Dean Harper says.
Bond for Lyles has been set at $75,000. Lt. Harper says no additional arrests are expected in this case.
