Lauderdale County supervisors have hired a new E911 director. The E911 Commission interviewed applicants for the position.

Board of supervisors president Hank Florey said the new director, Jared Stanley, comes highly recommended and is highly qualified.

"They, the 911 Commission, took applications, and there were 18 applications submitted," said Florey. "They narrowed it down to one, and they made the recommendation to the board of supervisors."

Stanley comes to the post from NAS Meridian. The previous director retired due to health reasons.

Just to be clear: The E-911 Coordinator is not employed by the city, this was an action taken by the county. The city had little, if anything, to do with this man's hiring.

It's like building a house. John Robert started with the house. Now Cheri can put the foundation underneath the house (Streets, School Quality, Working with the county etc) (the everyday thingsthat have been neglected)
