McNair Recognized by Legislature

Before Mississippi lawmakers adjourned Friday, they adopted a resolution commending the career of slain football star Steve McNair.
McNair is from Mount Olive, Miss.

McNair set records at Alcorn State University before playing 13 years in the NFL.He was killed by his girlfriend Saturday in Nashville.

The resolution praised McNair's charitable contributions and called him a remarkable athlete who was a role model for young quarterbacks. It did not mention how he was killed.

    Why would you want to commend someone for adultry? The man deserved what happened to him.
