Lauderdale Man Drowns in Kemper Lake

Authorities in Kemper County say a Lauderdale County man drowned this weekend in an apparent boating accident.

The drowning happened sometime Sunday afternoon at the George McDay Lake in Kemper County.

Officials say Paul Davis went missing from his boat, and after searching the lake, they were able to locate his body.

The Kemper County Sheriff's Department and the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks are both investigating the incident.

Officials say they do not suspect foul play. An autopsy was to be performed on Davis' body Monday.
