Hundreds turned out to the Bonita Lakes Cinemas and V93.5 Harry Potter premiere party. The radio station sponsor was incorrectly reported when this story was broadcast. WTOK regrets the error.
The line stretched into the parking lot and almost wrapped around the building.
The movie staff expected a large crowd as they say 300 of the one thousand tickets available had already been sold before the premiere. These harry potter fans say they wouldn't miss this movie for anything.
It's the sixth movie of the Harry Potter series and many waited for hours and even drove for hours to view Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince.
The premiere party kicked things off and fans were put to the test as they answered book trivia to win prizes.
"Everybody's excited to see it. Everybody goes crazy about Harry Potter. Everybody's dressing up like the characters. It's a great environment," Bonita Lakes Cinema Staffer Austin Smith said.
"We have three auditoriums set for this movie and it's our three largest ones because this is a big movie. People love the books, movies, everything," Bonita Lakes Cinema Staffer Adam Joyner said.
"I've read the books since I was little. I think you have all of them, yeah I have all the movies one through five," Harry Potter Fan Colby Harvey said.
Reports say this movie is already the top advance ticket seller of 2009 clocking over two thousand sold out performances.
