Laurel police have arrested a Meridian man and charged him with breaking into a pair of businesses there Wednesday morning.

Police say Claude Christopher Johnson broke into the Extreme Outfitter store and stole eleven rifles, then stole several computers from a pawn shop across the street.

Police say they responded to the alarm at the pawn shop, searched the building, and found the suspect hiding in the bathroom.

Johnson is being held in the Jones County Detention Center.
