The Boys & Girls Club Friday hosted Kemper County Fun Day in DeKalb.
Daily educational and recreational programs are being held at West Kemper Elementary while school is out.
The Lauderdale County Boys & Girls Club and parents were invited to join in the celebration of summer.
"Our purpose of the boys and girls club is to make sure that the kids have a positive place to be and everything. And it's to a point that it's doing real well, working real good," said director Tracy Naylor. "And we just appreciate everybody just coming out and the parents and everybody's support, having a safe place for their kids."
Through the boys and girls club, officials say students are exposed to education and career development, leadership and character building, health and life skills, the arts and sports, plus fitness and recreation.
