Lauderdale County investigators say a man charged with child molestation on the Mississippi Gulf Coast is now facing charges locally.
Police say Claude Coleman of Pascagoula was already charged in two different child molestation cases there.
Monday, Lauderdale County charged him with one count of sexual battery and another count of lustful touching of a child.
"The investigation was initiated in Jackson County," said Sheriff Billy Sollie. "It has been determined that the earliest incidents of this happened in 2000, and we're working with Jackson County and other agencies throughout the state to identify all the victims brought here for illegal activities. "
Coleman is in jail on the coast right now. His bond there has been set at $850,000. His bond on the two Lauderdale County charges is $100,000. Sollie says more charges are expected.
