The Wesley House is looking for some special people to help victims of sex crimes in this area.
The organization is looking for volunteers for its sexual assault crisis line. Those volunteers will go out to hospitals to give emotional support to sexual assault victims.
"It's important because we have a lot of victimization as a community. All communities do. It's no respecter of class or socio-economic status," said Maya Edwards. "It is worldwide; it is nationwide. And it's important for us to not only bring awareness of it, but to get the victims and children some help. "
The Wesley House will provide training for its volunteers in September. For more information, you can call 485-4736.
