Several school districts in the area got back to the books Thursday. Others will follow soon.

"I told the faculty, as well as the student body, that it only gets better from here," said principal Wayne Benn. "It was a marvelous start. I'm happy. I think the student body is happy. They have organization; they have safety and they have something to look forward to this year."
Other school districts that started back Thursday were Philadelphia, Neshoba Central, Choctaw Central, Enterprise and Quitman.
