Meridian police late Tuesday announced that a fifth young man had been arrested in connection with the death of a homeless man in July.
Police say 16-year-old Eric Mosley was one of the people involved in the death of David Caraway. He was taken into custody late Monday.
Caraway was found dead in an alley near the Hope Village Thrift Store on 8th Street.
Mosley is being held on $400,000 bond. Police say they believe this fifth arrest will be the last one in the case.
Four others were charged earlier with armed robbery and manslaughter:
Antshawn Davis, 17; D'Anthony Davis, 19; Antonio Chapman, 18; and Marcus Anderson, 20.
Police said a preliminary autopsy report indicated the 52-year-old Caraway died of blunt force trauma to his internal organs, which investigators believe was caused by a physical assault.
