Gas Prices Rising

Just as consumers were getting used to lower gas prices, they're on the rise again.

Mississippi's average gas price has risen from around $2.30 July 24 to about $2.45 a gallon Thursday, according to AAA.

While drivers say rising prices haven't yet affected their motoring habits, many say they'd be happier if the prices were continuing to fall.

Gasbuddy.com put the average price in Mississippi at $2.48 per gallon Friday. A year ago, the cost per gallon was $3.56.

In Alabama, gasbuddy.com's average price for regular unleaded is $2.48 a gallon. A month ago, it was $2.37. But a year ago, the average was $3.63 per gallon.
