A mill in Kemper County has been in operation continuously for more than 200 years. Sciple's Mill near DeKalb began in 1790.
It began as a cotton mill. It was also used for lumber. Now it's a grist mill, making flour, corn meal, and grits.
The mill has been owned by the Sciple family since the 1840s.
Edward Sciple said he grinds about 32 bushels an hour.
The mill is open Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
