Carlisle in Custody

Police in Marion say they have caught a man who led them on a chase through a subdivision Monday.

Officials say Bobby Ray Carlisle crashed into houses under construction, before fleeing on foot.

Police Chief Ben Langston said Carlisle was taken into custody early Friday evening near 20th Street in Meridian.

One woman was injured at the end of the chase. Carlisle is expected to be charged with a number of felonies.

As usual, another agency had to make the arrest for the Marion PD. If "Chief" Langston knew where this guy was through "tips" why didn't he inform the MPD that he was going to come into town and make the arrest, I'd wager that the MPD would have let him so they could have focused resources on problems in Meridian and not to chasing fugitives from Marion...oh right, the MPD was there to do it for him. The Marion Police Department (and I use that term loosely) is a joke and they make the "Keystone Cops" look like "CSI Miami".
