Law enforcement agencies throughout Mississippi will be teaming up to take drunk drivers off the road beginning this Friday.

"Over the Limit, Under Arrest" continues through Labor Day, with the Mississippi Highway Patrol working with numerous other agencies to focus on DUI and other alcohol-related offenses.

The Meridian Police Department is joining with the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department, as well as the MHP, in support of the intensive crackdown Aug. 21-Sept. 7.

Officials say officers also want to focus on seat belt enforcement and traffic safety.

Its all about money folks. Have to do this to get the federal dollars. Grab your pocketbook. Statistics are more important than warnings.
