The MSU Riley Center Theatre for the Performing Arts opens its fourth season
During that time, this city has seen performances unlike anything it had ever before seen.

Riley Center officials say you can expect the same quality entertainment this year.

"It looks like a very good year. And we're excited with the opening on Thursday with BB King," said executive director Dennis Sankovich.

King's show will be the first of the season, Sept. 3. It's already sold-out.

So that means the show will be a full house. That's good news for the ticket holders, but not such a good thing for those wanting to attend. Just in case tickets do become available, the center has created a waiting list.

"We're taking a waiting list of names right now," said Sankovich. "If any seats are turned back to us or are released to us, we will let those patrons know and begin working through those lists."

Not only will those ticket holders watch and listen to the sounds of BB King, but they are also welcome to a pre-show social at 6 p.m.

"It will be a nice way to come and socialize and meet and mingle. Then we''ll kick off this season with this capacity performance with BB King," Sankovich said.

For those shows with tickets still available, you can get them in a number of ways. You may call 601-696-2200, or visit the MSU Riley Center at 2200 5th Street in Meridian, or visit the Web site. A link is provided below.
