School Board Discusses Improvement Plans

Members of the Meridian School Board met Monday night in a special called session to discuss test data regarding subject areas of math, language, English, and writing. It was a chance to design initiatives for improvement.

"Each school brought to the board and presented a plan for improvement, because next year, our goal is not to have the scores that we had this year," said Kent. "But we want to meet or exceed state averages. "

The meeting was the last for both Fred Wile and George Meyers, whose terms have expired.

Meridian Mayor Cheri Barry Tuesday announced appointments to fill those positions Tuesday.

The city council approved the appointments of Dr. Judith Miller and Don Evans.
