Congress is in recess until Sept. 8. During this time, U.S. Rep. Gregg Harper of Mississippi's third district is meeting with constituents.
Harper was at Southeast High School Wednesday morning, where he expressed skepticism about the future of proposed health care reform.
"At this point, everybody, I think, the people are so nervous who supported it because they've been inundated with opposition and people that are upset about this plan, And so, for me, we get many 'thank yous' for opposing it and will continue to do so," said Harper.
Harper said he has found very little support for the health care reform proposal in the third district.
Harper will head back to Washington, D.C., when Congress resumes its legislative work.
