Police in Saltillo say someone sprayed a 12-year-old boy's face with some type of chemical and set him on fire, leaving the boy with first- and second-degree burns to his face, neck and right arm.

Police Chief Steve Brooks said the incident happened Wednesday and two juveniles are suspected in the crime.

Brooks said Bradley Griffith was walking along a privacy fence when he was approached by two boys who sprayed him in the face with something and then lit it on fire.

The boy was taken to the North Mississippi Medical Center.

Brooks says he has been following up on reported leads, but encourages anyone with any information to contact the Saltillo Police Department.

This story is very disturbing in nature. It seems that the two young adults have some very serious issues and need to be incarcerated immediatly. I hope the police or any one is taking swift unprejiduce actions.

Oh my God , how can someone be that cruel hearted to hurt someone like that. Those boys doesn't have a heart. We have some evil peoples in this world and that was really mean. I pray that the child will make it through and praying for both families, it hurts both ways. Why are people so evil these days. It just hurts me to see these young boys ruin their lives and someone elses. you weep what you sow. now when you do someone wrong it comes back on you harder. IT HURTS MY HEART TO HAVE HEARD THAT ON THE NEWS.LORD YOUR GRACE AND MERCY!!!

It's true, what comes around goes around. Think of how worthless kids at this age who do such a thing are. Just goes to show you if they start this bad how bad they'll be later.
