Northeast Lauderdale Elementary School has kicked off its "Mississippi in Motion" program.
It's designed to get the staff, faculty and students moving toward better health. The school received a grant to fund the program in 2008.
"Everyone on our staff, from the teachers to our custodial staff, our bus drivers, our secretaries, our teacher assistants, everyone was invited to participate," said school nurse Robin Hull.
Officials say adults can help set a good example for the students. The 12-week program focuses on developing healthy habits for life.
