Yazoo County District Attorney James Powell said he's reviewed preliminary assessments of a 14-year-old girl accused of threatening students with a gun on a school bus, but he hasn't decided whether she'll be charged as an adult.
Powell said Tuesday that it may be more than a week before a decision is made.
The girl's actions were captured on a bus surveillance camera, which showed 17-year-old Kaleb Eulls wrestling the gun away from her. Eulls has been credited with saving the other students. No one was injured.
The incident happened on a Yazoo County Public School District bus Sept. 1. The girl's case is currently being handled in youth court.
