The Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors has passed the fiscal 2010 budget.
The measure passed by a 3-2 vote Tuesday.
Supervisors Hank Florey, Wayman Newell, and Ray Boswell voted to approve it.
Supervisors Craig Hitt and Joe Norwood voted no.
The budget includes a tax reduction of 2.4 mills.
Hitt said the decrease means the county will not have enough money to make it through the fiscal year and will likely have to borrow money to do so.
Hitt said the county missed an opportunity to build a reserve fund for emergencies.
