Details about school performance will soon become more accessible.
Beginning Nov. 1, all Mississippi school districts will be required to post graduation rates, ACT scores, revenue and racial profiles on their web sites and must advertise the information in local newspapers. The information must also be available in hard copy reports on campuses.
The new law was designed to make school administrators more accountable and improve low-performing districts.
The new requirement is part of the Children First Act passed during the 2009 legislative session.
