Armed Robbery Suspect Surrenders

Meridian police say a suspect in an armed robbery voluntarily turned himself in Wednesday.

Police say there was an outstanding warrant out on Toreno L. Griffin for the armed robbery of two individuals Aug. 26, in the 500 block of 31st Avenue.

Personal property was taken from two people at gunpoint. Griffin and another person were identified as suspects. Griffin's bond was set at $50,000.

The case will be presented to the grand jury in November.
