Two people were charged in Clarke County for having child pornography on the Internet.
Clarke County Sheriff Todd Kemp said Kimberly Odom Scitzs and Ronald Dewayne Scitzs published nude photos of teenagers, her children and his stepchildren, on the Web.
The photos show two unclothed teenagers, sometimes alone, and in others, with their mother and stepfather.
"This is a first for me," said Kemp. "The investigation will show it was a common practice in the home, where nudity was prevalent."
According to Kemp, the very graphic photos were posted on flickr for all the world to see. As for why, Kemp can only speculate.
"We have no idea. Speculation would be that they were condoning nudity in the home and it was a practice they thought was O.K.," said Kemp.
The department received a tip that these photos were out there and that they were taken at this residence on 815 County Road 341 in Stonewall. From there, Kemp and the Attorney General's Office began the investigation.
"They have an expert who downloaded the computer and some images were downloaded off of the computer," Kemp said. "We interviewed the children and all the evidence will show that these charges will be substantiated."
Investigators said they are concerned with the long-term effects this case could have on the teenagers.
"You have to stop and realize what kind of an after effect it will have on your children," the sheriff said. "You don't put this on your children, because the long term effect could be terrible."
The pictures have been removed from flickr and the children are in the care of relatives. The parents are out on bond.
