I know this child and family. Apparently by societies definition she has not been abused. However, It is the same thing I see every day. Mom who has 4-8 children, different fathers that are not active, mom does not work, grandmother trying to help, recieve gov't assistance and welfare, etc... In my book the way these kids are being raised it is abuse! Lashonnda never had a chance. Until America wakes up (did you see the news story on Chicago??) and acknowledges the real problem it will only get worse. We might can still fix it but if we wait much longer it will be chaos. Stop paying these people to have kids they are not raising and taking care of and stop making it pay to actually work. I don't have 4-8 kids because I have a job and when I finally get home I am too tired for what it takes to make a baby. SO, the answer is simple stop enabling them!!!I hope Lashonnda is OK, but they might as well just let her go. Too late for the "butt whooping". Stop being scared you will offend.

You want to talk about the "good ole days". Not a single one of you would have said anything about this child to the parent's face. This child needs help. There is apparently something she is running from! What is this child is sexually abused, how could you sleep at night saying that she just need a spanking?

If this was your child that ran away 2-3-4 times would you not want the police departments help?

I agree to the "Good Ole Butt Whipping". It worked in my day and a little old fashion rearing would not hurt in this situation.

Sounds like someone just wants some attention, or something wrong in the house hold but what ever the problem is good old fashion but whipping and punishment for a couple of months on lock down will do the trick. Go to school escorted of course come home abd have to stay in the house and do school work for about 2-3 months will approve anybody attitude.

Why are they even bothering with reporting this ...again. This little girl needs to be punished for wasting resources every time she gets a "bug up her butt" to run away. There are a lot of other ways our tax dollars can be spent. Mayor Barry needs to put an end to this type of abuse.

This kid is pushing the edge of the envelope really hard. Sixteen years old, and still not under the control of her mother? Maybe I am too "old school" about this, but for her mother to allow her that much freedom or to have that little parental control that she (the mother) doesn't have a clue where her child is?

Sounds like to me we need to stop wasting tax payers dollars for people who continue to run off doing God knows what and making babies.
