Arrests Made at MCC

A report of suspicious activity at Meridian Community College Wednesday led to the arrests of two people.

MCC police officers responded to the alert and spoke with the individuals. Officials said one person was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and another had an outstanding warrant with the city.

"We're here for the safety and the security of the students and the faculty and staff here at this college," said Shane Williams, chief of campus security. "And we're just going to do everything we can to protect them. And we will not let this type of behavior on this campus."

Finally they are actually doing something useful with their time and not just writing tickets to people that don't have an MCC sticker

I would personnally like to commend the 2 MCC Campus Police Officers who made the discovery. I know for a fact that one of the Officers has over 17 years of law-enforcement experience. He is indeed a valuable member of that agency.
